Everyone(member or not) invited to do Roving Threats(50-100)

Roving threats are the new high level arch nemesis labeled enemies that were introduced in update 15. They are small and regular fellowship landscape bosses that appear in Eriador (level 50) and Gondor (level 100). They are similar to warbands and are repeatable on a daily basis; however, after they reset each day, they spawn in different locations.

 

Quests can be picked up at certain locations. The rewards include reputation and Gift Giver's Brands, which can be exchanged for weapons (1st Age), and other items. Gift Giver's Brands can also randomly drop from defeating the bosses.

 

We have been getting together nightly to do Roving Threats for the rewards and the deeds.

 

We'd like to invite anyone interested to join us .....It is not necessary to be a member of the kin.

In addition to Roving Threats quests in West Gondor, Angmar, Forochel, and Misty Mountains, there are some in Central Gondor. Those quests are gated by reputation in the factions in the area. However, some of them are much easier than the other ones.

There are deeds for doing all the Roving Threats in different areas, but there are also deeds for doing 50 and 150 more of any Roving Threats. I was in a group of 8-10 that farmed two Ringlo Vale RTs, Gundash and Scythe-jaw, each about 1/2 million morale. They respawn after 5 minutes, and we were able to go back and forth between the two about as fast as they respawned (2 per 5 minutes means 24 per hour). You only get credit for the quests once/day, but they still count for the slayer deed. They also drop Gift-Giver's Brands and Ringlo Vale rep tokens.

Can the quests be shared or does each player need to pick them up from the NPC?

I know you know the answer now :) but to anyone else interested, if you have not done the Roving Threats before, you have to go to the appropriate zone for the threats you want to do and you'll get an introductory quest directing you to talk to the RT NPC in that area. After you've turned in that introductory quest, the RT quests for that zone can be shared from there on after.
